Consumattori is a no profit cultural association founded in Florence in 2003, aiming for the promotion of critical consumption.
It organises workshops, courses, social dinner regarding critical consuming aspects, conferences and book presentations. Every year it cooperate with a radio programme called “Questione di stili” held every Sunday on a local radio.
The association was founded in between June and October 2003 and it has always been carrying its activities primarily basing on the contribution of a group of volunteer members. The very first training course on Conscious Consumption called “Da Consumatori a ConsumAttori” (from Consumers to Consum-Actors), which was designed right after the European Social Forum held in Florence, gave birth to the association. The course focused all the main aspects related to consuming choices: environmental issues, food, tourism, organic farming, finance...
Consumattori is now promoting the Grundtvig workshop for the first time as an European project.
